Diagnostics and Referral Service
In response to the growing need for diagnostic services in Middle Tennessee, beginning January 8, 2010, The Brown Center will be offering full, interdisciplinary evaluations and appropriate referrals for children up to age six suspected of having an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Evaluations will be conducted utilizing a collaborative team approach, with children being assessed by a Licensed Psychologist, Speech-Language Pathologist, and an Occupational Therapist. Evaluations are conducted on Fridays. Please call 615.385.7994 to request more information or to schedule an appointment.

Ben Liske, the nine year-old son of our Executive Director, was honored to have been invited to participate in a Public Service Announcement sponsored by the Dan Marino Foundation designed to raise public awareness about the need to dispell public stereotypes about individuals with autism. This commercial will be aired nationally on several major television networks.

Neurologic Music Therapy
The Brown Center is pleased to have Laura Logue Poteet, NMT, MT-BC, conducting private music therapy sessions as an additionally offered service at BCA. Music Therapy is the use of music to reach non-musical goals.
