WHEN? November 28, 2017
12:00am to 11:59pm
WHERE? World Wide Web
The 2nd Annual #ThrowDownforBrown 2017 is a WIN/WIN 24-hour fundraising event fueled by social media in support of research-based early intervention for young children impacted by Autism. This special Day of Giving is dedicated to the 1 in 68 children and their families in Middle Tennessee who are affected by this disorder today. Research has shown that intensive, individualized, and early intervention is critical in helping individuals with Autism realize their potential.
Donors are encouraged to give any amount, no amount is too small. Donors are asked to consider giving in honor or in memory of a loved one with Autism, a teacher, therapist or other person who has impacted you or someone you care about who has Autism, or anything along these lines that is near and dear to your heart. All donations will be recognized on social media (along with specified acknowledgments) within two hours of donation, as well as on the Brown Center website through 12/31/2018.
#GivingTuesday connects diverse groups of individuals, communities and organizations through social media around the world for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving. Entering its 6th year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.
